Apple Crisp

6 or 7 apples -peeled, cored, and sliced- spread out in a pie pan.
Best varieties for this are Pippin, Gravenstein, or Jonathan apples.

Topping
Mix together…
1/2 cup flour
3/4 cup oatmeal
1 cup brown sugar (dark, if you have it.)

Cut a cube of butter (1/2 cup) into the topping mix, using fingers to work it in.

Sprinkle topping over apples.

Cook in 350˚ oven for 40 minutes or until the apples are “done.”

Serve with shipped cream or pure, thick cream.
